Title: "Protest"

In May of 1970 the day after the Ohio State Guard killed unarmed students at Kent State University for peacefully protesting the Vietnam War students at University City H.S. collected in the football stadium at the school. We decided that we would join the protestors at Washington University. We marched, appropriately 100 students to Washington U. About 6 miles from the H.S. Upon arrival we joined a full quadrangle of approximately 500 University Students and the general public. This was just one of many forms of protest including joining those in Chicago during the Democratic Convention. Ultimately these protests and the absurdity of the war brought it to an end. Without student non-violent protesters the war would have gone on for years.
