Title: "Army's infinite wisdom"
I was drafted because I won the lottery in 1970. I reported for active duty on 14 April at Ft. Leonardwood, Mo. All through basic we were told we were likely going to Nam. Then came AIT in Ft. Gordon Georgia Signal School. 15 weeks we had orders cut to go to Nam. The last week of AIT we got new orders. It seemed to me the married guys went to Nam and single guys were sent elsewhere. I wound up in Kaiserslautern Germany with HHC 11th AD Signal Bn.
