Title: "A Child's Fuzzy Memory"

I was 7 years old in 1971; that was the year my brother, Phil, turned 18.  I can remember my mom and dad watching the television when rows of numbers would flash on the screen - draft numbers. They were so afraid my brother's number would come up.  Their anxiety transferred to me even though I did not fully understand what was happening.  We were lucky; Phil's number never did come up. He went to college and became a mechanical engineer, married and had a son.   I am so happy and thankful I got to know and grow up with my big brother, unlike so many who lost theirs.
