I served from june 1965 to may 1969 boot camp in San Diego "A" school on treasure island San Francisco received orders to serve on the USS oriskany cva 34 as a radarman served until mid 1968 finished services on board the USS Annapolis agmr 1.  Two events occurred which are planted in my soul, the first was on October 26th 1966 the oriskany caught on fire, the second occurred in May 1967 the USS forestall was severely damaged the oriskany was approx. 6 miles from her.
