Title: "I Tested Eskimos For Uncle Sam"

I was in the Army during the Vietnam War.  What did I do when the war was on?  I gave intelligence tests to Eskimos.  From February 1972 to August 1973 I ran the testing department of the induction center in Anchorage, Alaska.  Being Alaska, many of the people I tested were Eskimos.  So that was my Vietnam experience:  testing Eskimos.

Incidentally, during the time that I was in Alaska, even the Eskimos were calling themselves "Eskimos."  Having lived in Alaska I can tell you that there really are offensive terms for Eskimos, and "Eskimo" is not one of them.
